On 22.11.24 the 2nd Graz Inheritance Law Day took place under the direction of Prof. Dr Gregor Christandl LL.M. and Alice Perscha. The Graz Inheritance Law Day sees itself as a forum for exchange between academia and practice for all those working in the field of inheritance law.
This year's topics were tailored to practice: in the morning, Court Counsellor MMag. Sloboda reported on current inheritance law case law of the Supreme Court, Professor Christandl on the law of compulsory portions and Court Counsellor Dr. Musger on the procurement of information for those entitled to compulsory portions, inventory and the right to information. In the afternoon, the focus was on the law of wills. Firstly, Mag. Perscha provided the participants with a checklist for drawing up wills, before Dr Mondel drew attention to particular pitfalls when drawing up wills. Finally, Dr Oberhumer explained liability issues that arise in connection with incorrect advice on wills.
We would like to thank all participants for attending and look forward to welcoming you again next year at the Inheritance Law Day!
